Alaska's tundra doesn't just turn yellow in fall—it ignites. For a few brief weeks each autumn, usually late August through early September, the low-growing plants that blanket our vast tundra landscapes transform into a carpet of crimson, orange, and gold that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Bearberry leaves turn deep burgundy, dwarf birch glows golden yellow, blueberry and crowberry bushes blaze in shades of orange and red. From the air, it looks like the earth itself is on fire. It's one of nature's most spectacular displays, and it happens so quickly, blink and you might miss it before the first snow arrives.

Our Tundra Flame bracelet captures this breathtaking transformation with carefully selected red carnelian beads in warm autumn tones. Each bead glows with an inner fire, just like the tundra catching the low-angle light of fall. Three hand-crafted glass focal beads made by a fantastic glass artist, Nicola Hebert Glass Beads, add artistry and depth, their swirling patterns echoing the rich, complex colors of the season. Each focal bead is framed by brass spacer beads.
